Parents As Teachers
Recent ActivityParents As Teachers Project SKIP is a program for families within the Grand Blanc School District with children who are birth up to kindergarten entry. We provide developmental and nutritional information designed to enhance your parent child relationship, foster kindergarten readiness, and promote health. We provide home visits, yearly screenings, educational group meetings, parent child activities, gym nights, swim nights, and more. We are a grant funded program, supported through the GISD Succesful Kids = Involved Parents (S.K.I.P.) program, so your participation is free of charge.
Our belief is that parents are their children's first and most important teacher.

Announcements GYM NIGHTThere is a gym night this evening, Tuesday, January 24th, from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Perry Center gym. It was missing from the online calendar. My apologies.
POSITIVE DISCIPLINE CLASSA free 9 week class beginning on
Friday, January 6, 2012 from 9:30-11:30 am Topics will include: understanding your child's behavior, children and violence, understanding and controlling your anger, resolving conflicts in a positive way, positive discipline, reducing the influence of media on children, and the adult's role in raising safe kids.
Childcare is available upon request.
You MUST RSVP to attend this class. please call Stephanie Bellant at 591-6082 Parents will meet in the Paradise Room on the 2nd floor of the Perry Center. Childcare will be provided in the PAT playroom. Joining the "class"If you request to join the class, you will receive regular emails about upcoming events. Your child must have a student number and you must have an account to do this. Ask your parent educator or call 591-6135 about a student ID. Make sure you enter the students date of birth as xx/xx/xxxx.
